Each month Jim’s chooses a “Shop with Loyalty and Shop Locally” charity of the month. During the month a portion of our over the counter sales will go to the charity as well as all donations made from our used book cart. Jim’s is always happy to accept used book donations to keep the program going.
Healthy Families of Clallam County is our charity for October. Their mission is to provide a wide range of services empowering children, youth, adults and families to achieve their full potential, improve their physical, mental and emotional health and live free of violence and abuse.
To accomplish this mission, Healthy Families of Clallam County provides child abuse prevention and treatment services including parenting classes, support groups, educational clinics for divorcing parents and in-home parent aides, domestic violence and sexual assault prevention, 24-hour crisis intervention, counseling, medical and legal advocacy, as well as emergency and transitional shelter.
Stop by Jim's and purchase a purple light bulb for your front porch. The purple light is a symbol to help remember all of the victims of domestic violence. They can be purchased for $3 with all funds going to Healthy Families.
